Take away the significance of the driver and what you see above is nothing more than a derelict Austin 7 which had its body removed by a young boy with an axe, so that he could race it along tracks at the family farm. In reality it was the start of something that even that boy couldn't have imagined would come true. Peter Brock began learning his renowned craft of smooth driving and mechanical sympathy in this little Austin. Mechanical sympathy because if it broke he had to fix it and smooth driving because he never actually fitted a brake pedal, so setting the car up early in anticipation of corners was the only way to drive.
Over the years, Biante has received hundreds of requests for us to produce a model of this car. Now, thanks to the Peter Brock Estate and Peter Brock Foundation, we are able to confirm the development of 'Brock 1' in 1:18 scale. Orders are now being invited from our retailers, and we expect demand to be huge. It may not have been released first, but this car is the true beginning of any Peter Brock Collection.
