The Vitesse Group went into liquidation in April 2001 .Subsequently, the Sun Star Group acquired certain assets of the Vitesse Group including some moulds and the brand name. Sun Star has now re-launched the Vitesse brand.

From its conception in 1982, the Vitesse brand offered the collector the detail and authenticity of the specialist resin model for the price of a mass produced diecast car.
IXO Models are made in China by Sonic International Limited. Ixo Models, goal was to put together the most advanced manufacturing techniques, the best diecast model cars development and marketing experts under the same brand.
