diecast model collecting can be very addictive and also expensive,
especially if you are collecting extremely detailed replicars such as CMC or high volumes of Biante or Classic
Carlectables. At the same time the rewards can be very
satisfying, especially when you have finally located that elusive gem that will complete your special collection, or when you decide to sell
a piece considerably higher than your purchase price. Financial gain has
its own rewards.
Mojos will hold models for collectors who prefer to call in and inspect their
models before purchasing. Mojo will hold a particular model for up to 5
weeks, however if you need more time then Mojos suggest you enter into a
lay-by purchase agreement. Doing so will guarantee the purchase price at
the time of commencement of the Lay-by. If the lay-by has been paid in
full prior to pick up then Mojos will simply hold that purchase until you call
in. If circumstances change and you are unable to call in then Mojos has a
delivery service with Australia Post and we can send the model to you.

model allows you, the
collector, to feel comfortable that you will receive your order
even if the model is not released for 8 months or more. The
prices quoted will be supplier RRP plus freight and may change
only if the supplier like Biante or Classic Carlectables have
changed their cost from the time the model was originally
listed.

Flat
spotting your die cast model car's tyres. If you don't know
already then be warned now. It's true you can flat spot your
favourite displayed diecast models. If you are a collector who
believes that your models should be enjoyed by being displayed
and not just hiding in a dark dry cupboard somewhere, hoping
they will have a better resale value then take note. Your
models are at risk of creating flat spots on the tyres. This
applies to any model that has rubber tyres, including replica
bikes. Due to the weight of the model and the softness of the
rubber the tyre is prone to flat spotting. I prevent flat
spotting by placing the model on a block that is 1mm higher than
the gap between base of the wheel and the under side of the
model. My bikes I simply rotate their wheels each week.
